About Us

I graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 1995 with a Master’s Degree in Counseling and I have been in the mental health field for 14 years. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor through the state of Minnesota and I am a certified Life Coach through the Adler Institute. I am also a Certified Employee Assistance Professional and continue to work part-time for an Employee Assistance Program as a Management Consultant where I help with organizational and employee performance related issues.

Much of my work and training has been focused on couples, which includes intensive training through the Gottman Institute in Seattle and with the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Both are grounded in solid research and are woven into how I work with couples.

The work I do is an expression of my calling where I find deep satisfaction and purpose. I love to see transformation take place in the lives of individuals and couples as they experience greater fulfillment and purpose in their lives.

Coaching and counseling is an invitation for you to be all of who you are—the authentic self. My approach is to work with the whole person, which recognizes spirituality as an essential element of what it means to be truly human. Understanding our need for grace, along with utilizing sound and effective psychological methods, is a powerful means to healing.

My faith tradition informs my way of being and living, but is not something imposed upon my clients. I have a deep respect for people of different faith traditions or for people who don’t consider themselves “religious”. Careful screening, based upon client input allows me to identify the direction of our work in regards to this area.

I am happily married with three children and enjoy running, basketball, music, cooking, and playing guitar.
